Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD)

Environmentally Sustainable Design is a critical part of good design

It is becoming increasingly more obvious that the built environment has a significant impact on the ecology of the planet, and BPSM Architects believe that Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) is a critical part of good design.

The purpose of Environmentally Sustainable Design is to reduce impacts in the construction and use of buildings on the natural environment, whilst improving the comfort of the inhabitants.

A ‘green’ design principle is adopted across all BPSM sectors.  This principal enables our Architects and Interior Designers to skillfully create a design using appropriate materials and simple planning methods, which can greatly reduce things like the transmission of heat and cold into a building which will, in turn, minimise energy use and diminish carbon dioxide production.  There are many design initiatives within the categories of management, indoor environment quality, energy, transport, water, materials, land use and ecology, and emissions that are applied to all of the projects we undertake.

BPSM is actively involved in energy saving initiatives, promoting carbon reductions for our clients.

Through your partnership with BPSM Architects, your vision will be a statement and an environmental contribution to the community, to be enjoyed by generations to come.

That is what drives us to strive for the perfect design.
