Housing based on a shared house principle with common support facilities.
This complex, accommodating 173 units is the result of close liaison with our client and an in-depth feasibility study and subsequent master plan by us.
Each residential unit consists of 6 bedrooms with lounge, kitchen and separate shower, toilet and wash facilities, supplemented by student services and some common services and rooms.
Importantly, it is also situated adjacent earlier residential colleges, thus forming a vibrant community.
The design process was complex in solving not only access within steep topography, but also bush fire mitigation, threatened species, traffic, building bulk and scale in a visually exposed site.
